If you cannot make your games, you must get a team to fill in. If you can't find a team, please let us know 24hrs in advance so we can find a team to play in your place! If you no show and don't tell us, then your team will be ineligible for the tournament at end of league. Other teams are depending on your team showing up in order to play their games so please respect their time. Posting on Beach House Subs FB Page is a good place to find subs.
Weekly Schedule: Games will take place weekly. Each week, players will play 2 matches to 21 (win by 2, cap at 23) with two opposing teams (4 games to 21 total). Players will record their wins and losses on their Team Sideline account. Your win/loss record will determine your seeding for play offs.
Refunds: You may request a refund for your league spot up to 1 week before the start of league. After this window has passed, no refunds will be given.
Refunds will not be given for any games missed during the league season.
4v4 Levels:
"4v4 B" = A team where nobody on the team plays at a "2v2 AA" level or higher. This level is for BEGINNERS.
"4v4 BB" = Allowed only 1 player on the team that is at the "2v2 AA" level or above. This level is for INTERMEDIATE players.
"4v4 A" = Typically comprised of people that play at or above the "2v2 A" level, so no restriction on skill level. This level is for ADVANCED players.
4v4 Rules: At least 3 people must be on the court, and at least 1 male and 1 female. A girl does not have to touch the ball. All players can attack. You don't have to rotate positions on the court, but you do have to rotate servers.
Substitutions: If you are unable to attend a league time slot, you must find a substitute. If both players on your 2v2 team are unable to make it, this constitutes a double forfeit. For 4v4 leagues, if you have less than two registered team members playing, this constitutes a double forfeit. Double forfeit games will be counted as losses to your record. You are responsible for finding another team to fill in for you in double forfeit situations.
If you double forfeit more than once during a session, you will be removed from league playoffs. If you double forfeit and do not send a substitute team in your place, this counts as two double forfeits, and you will be removed from playoffs.
It is your responsibility to find subs that are at the level of the league you are playing in. If you have questions about a league sub, please contact us at beachhouseut@gmail.com.
Playoffs: Playoffs will be played in single elimination format for 4v4 leagues, and double elimination format for 2v2 leagues. Playoff substitutions are allowed in 2v2 playoffs, but they must be approved in advanced by our staff. Playoff substitutions are not allowed for 4v4 league.
Sandbagging Rules for Tournaments:
If you are trying to play a tournament but don't know if you are allowed to play in a certain level, then this is for you. Your level and your partners level must be equal to or below the division you are signing up for. If you are AA level and your partner is BB, your average would be A Level so you can play the A Division or higher. If you are A Level and your partner is Open, then your average is AA meaning you cannot play in an A Level tournament, you would have to play in the AA Division or Open Division. (Your division = highest-level division league/tournament you have played)
Levels are in order from top to bottom skill level: Open, AA, A, BB, B, Rec
